Child Care South Africa is always happy to host volunteers who are interested in contributing to the work we do in rural communities. Both individuals or group volunteers are welcomed to join the team. Please do go through our programmes above to choose your own activities and inform us on your decision so that we ensure that they are enough resources for your activities. Most volunteers come as part of their academic program (internship / research project), we are happy to assist you any how we could.

Skills of volunteers
All we require is that volunteers be passionate about working young people or children in rural villages in South Africa (KwaZulu Natal). The Volunteer must not have a criminal record. Two day orientation has been design to help the volunteers understand the community & the challenges we are addressing.

We expect the volunteer to pay for their return flight from home to South Africa (King Shaka Airport), a Child Care SA staff member will be waiting for you at the airport wearing a Child Care SA T/shirt, in most cases they will have a sign with your name.

We offer accommodation, and meals for international or out of province volunteers (volunteers are expected to cook for themselves and Child Care SA will provide the food, and other needed items).

If you planning to apply for funding to make the trip please do not hesitate to ask specific questions, we are willing to post you fundraising broachers to enable you to finance your round ticket.
