Advocating for children’s rights to be accepted & exercised by rural communities
Tholakele Tholakele Xulu is one of the members make up Child Care SA. She started working for the organisation as a mentor in 2007, where she did door to door data collection on OVC (Orphans vulnerable children). She is currently the Advocacy Office where she focuses on the following:

Child advocacy
This practice requires her to go out to schools and inform children about their rights and responsibilities. Children are given a perfect knowledge of measures they can take when it comes to protecting themselves. They are also made aware of the various sources of which they can get help.

As much as this particular activity makes children aware of their rights, it also highlights the responsibilities of their rights.
