Tholakele Nomthandazo Mhlongo is the Programs Coordinator she joined the organisation in 2006. She is a member of the Management team, which see to day to day operations of the organisation.

Amongst her responsibilities she co-ordinates the OVC Support Program, which seeks to enhance the capacity of communities and families structures to care for orphans & other vulnerable children living in poverty.

Nomthandazo has to:

  • Supervise the 24 Child Mentors based in 11 rural villages.
  • Facilitate quarterly meetings of the 9 Child Care Forums
  • Facilitate Care Givers workshops to empower them of various skills.
  • Together with Mentors attend to the psychosocial support needs of the OVCs and facilitate the access to essential services (social grants, birth certificates etc)
