Nkwalini, Mbongolwane Mobile and Eshowe Mobile Clinics

Fixed term contract – full time position

SALARY : R4 500.00 per month

REQUIREMENT FOR THE POST

  • Female
  • Minimum educational qualification: Grade 12, Tertiary education will be added advantage
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years’ experience working with youth in community outreach programme
  • Applicants must live in the local municipality where they are applying for (TBC)

RECOMMENDATION

  • Computer literate: MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Training related to HIV/AIDS and/or Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, TB and working with NGOs

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, TRAINING AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Multi-tasking and flexibility (ability to work flexible hours and on weekends).
  • Ability to develop and maintain close and effective relationships with community based and facility-based stakeholders.
  • Good interpersonal, leadership, planning and organizing skills advantageous.
  • Good understanding of Operation Sukuma Sakhe (OSS).

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Mobilization of Young Women & Girls (19-24) to seek and access Sexual Reproductive Health services in the Health Facility.
  • Receive referrals of Young Women & Girls from the Community and navigate them through the health facility to access required care, treatment and support interventions.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of the Youth Friendly space in the facility.
  • Conduct health education sessions in the health facility youth friendly space to create demand and awareness about health care for Young Women & Girls.
  • Manage the biometric system in the health facility.
  • of the programme at facility level.
  • Support the research aspects of the project, including data collection through the biometric system and administration of 6 monthly questionnaires.
  • Submit Monthly reports to the SSR.
  • Submit reports as required to the health facility.
